Come join us for an interactive session on A3 Thinking.  Our event will have a combination of presentation on A3 Thinking, what an A3 is and what it is not, and also some interactive exercises around A3s and the various uses they can support.  We will also get you started in utilizing A3s as a problem solving process and tool for both project or internal organization problems.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain the elements of A3 thinking.
  • Effectively utilize the elements of A3 thinking during all problem solving opportunities.
  • Utilize the A3 report as a communication tool.
  • Describe the benefits of utilizing an A3.
  • Explain when A3 reports should be completed.


Jessica Kelley, PEDirector of Learning and Development at Southland Industries, started her career with Southland Industries designing and managing design-build-maintain projects.  From there she has had the opportunity to support and manage Southland’s ERP selection and implementation initiative and is now responsible for building the Learning and Development Department. Jessica has been actively involved in the lean construction community from the start of her career, driving efficiency and focused improvements internally at Southland, on projects, and in the industry as a whole.
